School mission
Francis Parker is one of the most diverse schools in Monroe County and remains a top performing elementary school in the Rochester City School District. We have created an inclusive learning environment that works to meet the unique needs of all our students. Through our WIN (What I Need) blocks, all students receive small group instruction tailored to support and enrich their academic success. Our school is committed to implementing Project Based Learning (PBL), which is a student‐centered instructional approach where students acquire a deeper knowledge through active exploration of real‐world challenges and problems. Our school’s proximity to many artistic and business venues has helped us build partnerships that support PBL through field trips to the Memorial Art Gallery, The Warrior Factory, Writers and Books, and many more. Excellence is truly happening at Francis Parker School No. 23!
