School mission

Since our founding in 2006, our free public schools have served Rochester families with an award-winning instructional model that supports students’ academic and personal growth. As one of the few K-12 charter schools in Rochester, our students are immersed in college-prep culture from day one. Our teachers infuse joy into every day, creating an active engaged learning environment and preparing every student to succeed in college and beyond.

Elementary School: Your child will establish a strong academic foundation while developing a love of learning.

• Focus on Literacy: Individual assessment, Personalized reading plan for every student
• Emotional Intelligence Curriculum: Lessons to help students identify and process emotions
• Advisory Support: Advisors for every student
• Weekly Whole-School Moments: Performances, Guest Speakers, Student Recognitions, and Dance Parties
• Electives: Physical Education, Art, and Music – including Choir & Drumming, and more

Middle School: Your child will begin experiencing more advanced coursework while developing independence and exploring their individual passions.

•  Special Content Areas: 100 minutes of ELA, 90 minutes of Math, Science and History, Algebra I & Living Environment Regents Courses (8th grade)
• Competitive Sports: JV 7th/8th Modified Football, 7th/8th Modified Girls’ & Boys’ Basketball
• After-School & Intramural Clubs: STEP, Choir, Brass Ensemble, Art, Agriculture Club, Gundam Club, Student Government, Newspaper, Soccer, Fitness & Book Club
• Field Trips: Altitude, Horizon, Urban Air, Darien Lake, and Seabreeze – to name a few
• End of Year Trips: Overnights to various cities and a college tour

High School: The diverse and rigorous curriculum is designed to prepare students for the demands of college and beyond. Your child will be empowered to develop their leadership capabilities both in the classroom and in the real world. 

• 16 Advanced Placement (AP) courses: Biology, Statistics, World History, Design, Physics, Computer Science, Studio Art, U.S. Government and more
• JV and Varsity Athletics: Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Track, Bowling, Baseball
• Arts & Engineering: Four pathways – Digital Design, Fine Arts, Robotics and Theatre
• HS Programming: Students explore interests including Mock Trial, Baking, Social Justice, and Podcasting
• Partnership with RIT: 11th & 12th grade Capstone Project with RIT professors taking place on campus
